I liked this unusual movie. Dustin Hoffman adds a touch of slightly off-kilter whimsey to this sinister thriller. Based on the 1980's best-selling novel about a French orphan in 1700's France. Gifted and at the same time cursed with an over-the-top sense of smell, as he matures he develops an erotic obsession with collecting the pheromonal beauty of enough young women to create a new perfume. You can enjoy this attractively done movie at face value or have fun looking a little more closely.
